Pff, Fafa was just as nice to her mom as her mom is to poor Safi. She' right to be angry, her mother's being totally unreasonable.

She is right to be angry, but talk like that to her mom when this one was worried was not the right thing to do. Asili is maybe an antipathetic lioness, but she still love her daughter.

Eh, I think she deserved it. Yes, she loves her daughter, but she was being completely unfair to both her daughter and to a cub who is completely unresponsible for her mother's crimes. Fafa was wrong to leave the cave so late without telling anyone, but I understand her being mad at her mother and finally telling her why. And honestly, Asili's reaction is so child-like, and so is her whole grudge against Safi. She needed to hear the truth, even if it was at the wrong moment.

The fact Fafa yelled at her after doing something bad when Asili actually did nothing wrong in this story, (she didn't force her daughter or the cubs to go at night) removes all her credibility.
It's exaggerate but it's like:
-A mother hit her son and is not gentle with him
-Her son is sad, he drinks and is drunk, he kill someone with his car
-He says it's all her mother's fault.
Asili need to hear the true, but it's not true it's ALL her fault here. It's her fault if she is an asshole, but not her fault if her daughter and the cubs disobeyed.

Not to mention I doubt Ashili is specially good with her daughter, I mean, she said out loud "were is this stupid daughter of mine...", I don't doubt that she cares for her, but I doubt about her ways of showing love and raise her up -.-
And honestly, I think Jahi should be the one talking with Ashili, telling the cub to apologize only will make her think "I won, I was right, you lost and I am still gonna act the same way". She should really talk to her and tell her to treat the cubs better, no matter whose parents are.

She is for sure not the best mother in the world, but she love her daughter and was worried for her. And as long as I'm agree Asili is an apathetic and angry lioness, she loves her daughter very much. Here she did nothing wrong, it was not the time for Fafa to talk to her like that.
And Jahi know that, he for sure understand the two points of view because he know Asili is not very nice with her daughter ( when she plays with Safia because she need someone to blame for the death of her mate, maybe the only one she really loved) but he also know she lover her daughter and the the pain of thinking something could happen to the cub.

Certes, mais il a connu la guerre et pas elles. Dès son plus jeune âge il ne dormait pas vraiment sur ses deux oreilles à cause de la menace Chongo. Il n'est que normal d'épargner cela à la nouvelle génération. ^^
