Haha. I have an exchange student from Azerbaijan in my home who speaks Russian. I have asked her to teach me, and all I remember are things like "suka" (sorry, no syrillic) and "oo-rode" (urod?)and "suma shetsay". I have terrible, horrible Russian. No, your English is great. Better than hers in fact. She finds our articles exasperating. And often she misses them. She has a very good vocabulary though. And I see you do also. Your language is so hard. It sounds lovely (better than uncouth English). I do not know why but for some reason I was suprised that Code Geass would be known even in Russia. I suppose it was stupid of me to think that you wouldn't be exposed to Japanese cartoons as well. Russia is bigger than the U.S.A. after all.

Russians know a lot of anime, everything that is and was shown in Japan. It is not a big problem. The main problem is that very few of it is licensed. So we have to do not very legal thing - download from the net and watch it with the subs

Ja, I am cognizant that my Russian vocabulary is predominantly insults.
I wrote "You are insane", "Freak", and "Bitch" correct? She and I are sisters in every way except biological. Thus we claim the right to verbally and physically abuse one another. Haha. The only sound Russian provides that I find strange is the "hch". So they don't televise much anime over there? *sympathy* I think sites like Animefreak stream it legally.

There are some shows but they are not very often.
And I don't like our license dubbing. They are using Polivanov's system of pronunciation and I hate it =__= Like, not "hachi" but "hati", not "kakashi" but "kakasi", not "ichigo" but "itigo" and so on...
Even if I'm byuing a license dvd I still watching it with subs and original sound.
Most people here are using torrents to download the series to the computer, so it's still illegal

Oh, and I'm not really sure but I think that in our license he's like "Hatake Katasi". Maybe it's because "kakashi" is sound almost like russian piece of shit in it's more erm... gentle form "kakashka"
