I respect your decision about Sally but let me tell you this: I never really read the early comics but from what I can tell, Sally has matured very much during the span of the comics because last time I checked, saving Mobius from being roboticized by roboticizing yourself isn't selfish. Just saying.Β

I'll give you that. But as one that's been following the Archie story line this far, you really don't miss anything in the comics. Up until they decided to robotize Sally, she was but the center of attention in the comics, everything resolved around her and a lot of other characters lost development just to turn things in her favor and to keep the ever loving Sonic/Sally couple alive. Β All I ever saw in the comics was Sally this and Sally that, and I wanted to know more about the other characters but everything was about their OTP Sonic/Sally and truthfully is a bunch of romantic fanfic for me. They had great promise with a lot of plots for other characters but again it got turned around and made it about Sally and Sonic and their 'never dying love'.Β
I guess the thing that pissed me off the most was to use the Sonic anniversary to yet again shove Sonic/Sally down our throats. (well to the people that really don't care for the pairing) When it was supposed to be on how the canon characters meet each other.Β
Oh and the other thing, turning Sonic into a love driven, sobbing douche. That's what gets me the most, everything he does has to be driven with 'Save Sally', for "sally." So yeah :IΒ

I don't care for the couple at all. I think it's really out of character for Sonic to be even with her. I don't consider anything of Archi as canon, it's just a big fanfic story :/
