Still running a basic Freya setup. Elementary does everything I need straight off the bat so barely any changes here.App on the left is called Franz, basically gives you a single place for all your messenger apps, it's pretty slick and fast though still beta. I'm using it for WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Skype chat and Steam chat.

I just have the downloaded application in a folder in my home folder and then I used a menu editor to add the app with its icon to Slingshot and dragged it to Plank. It's what I do with things like Blender or other apps that have rolling releases that don't make it to the repos

Yeah I've been using it a while now and really when they release the next iteration, I'm going to get rid of windows 10 and just boot Loki. Elementary just really works for me!

It's an Arch Linux-based OS, perfect Gnome setup out of the box and super fast too. At least give it a try, you won't be dissapointed

last time i installed elementary it was so buggy i had to uninstall it and go back to windows

Oh really? I remember doing a partial install over Ubuntu because I couldn't get around the bugs in Luna but I've not had any issues with Freya. I actually crashes less and does more for me than my Win10 partition!
