Oh man, I love Beauty and the Beast!! Though I noticed my favortie characters are Cogsworth and Lumiere! I think the whole story with the inanimate object staff is FAR more interesting than Beauty and Beast's romance.What's that, sir? You turned into a giant hulking man-beast that can fight off ravenous wolves? What a shame! Oh hey, look at that, I HAVE NO HANDS. HM. I WONDER WHO IS WORSE OFF HERE.
And then the broadway musical, (whose costumes I stole for this picture) makes the curse even more terrifying because the transformation is SLOW and gets progressively worse over time! So they start to become more and more object-like until they're basically just a soul trapped in an unmoveable object. /FUN TIMES/
I liked the concept of being half human/half object, though. 8D

I actually think the curse is a lot easier on them in the broadway version. By the night of the last petal falling they're all still human sized and still have legs to walk around.

Cogsworth's costume had a swinging pendulum
And Lumiere's costume was a hat that looked like an almost burnt out candle with large candles over his hands
I would show you some pictures but the musical just ended and i didn't take any

How you drew the two of them is fantastic, and I REALLY want their outfits now!! (Especially Cogsworth's jacket! I love all the embellishments you did on the shoulders!)

And yeah, the musical gives a lot more depth to the curse and the servants! They talk more about it, and Cogsworth even flips out at one point because his curse starts getting progressively worse and he gets a windup-key on his back. And then Lumiere and Mrs. Potts comfort him and it's very cute<3

Yeah, there's a couple of videos on youtube of someone who recorded the musical from their seat. The quality isn't the best, but at least you can see some of it!! The problem is you can't see most of the big musical numbers, but they manage to keep up with the main characters walking around.
I can't remember where it is exactly, it takes a bit of searching.
