There's a filler episode where ayame got fat after she got kidnapped, then she just ate the diet ramen her father made. Poof, she's thin again.
So i wouldnt worry about her being fat, she could always eat that ramen LOL. But maybe she chose to stay that way because a certain hokage likes em girls chubby :,,,,,3

Btw i dont think if anko was ever introduce in the boruto manga she mustn't stay as chubby , if you read the boruto novel she was mentioned as Legendary that can fvck up a whole Nation o.o something likeΒ that makes her the writer's favorite character.....so i wouldn't worry about it.....because how can you say an underrated character or a fodder become a powerful character in sequel? o.o

Ayame was the one who ate the diet ramen. So i thought Anko could always eat the same ramen if she wants to be thin again lol (a little info, Anko made a cameo in that episode, lining up for the forementioned ramen LOOL)

You know the Fact is:
Kishi first design is Naruto and Hinata as a main, second he also design Kakashi and Anko....oh yeah also with Iruka as secondary
Β main (The five char i mentioned supposed to be the main Character in the series. )
But since the first editor of Kishi, changes its perspective towards kishi's works so to be called shounen: Sasuke and Sakura are not supposed to be exist in the series if that editor didn't apply HAHAHAHA
I know that kishi just being timid to show a mature people as couple to a shounen manga, as he was so embarrassed writing naruhina romance but since he decided to display it in the series.
