Sasha offered who the first target should be. Fiona wanted Gwen. She needed to know for certain whether Gwen had truly betrayed her or if she was subject to the symbiote. Sasha laid out what they knew about the symbiotes. In her first battle with Venom, Sasha noted that the Guyver's Sonic Blaster initially weakened the beast. Perhaps that was one of the exploits they could use against Scream without necessarily harming Gwen... As most of the other Guyver weapons would likely do more than simply harm the host. Whether it was slicing the host in half, roasting her into coal, or even sucking her down a black hole... The sonic blaster offered the best chance to save Gwen.

"Funny," Fiona stated, "Gwen would never shut up about the Sonic Screwdriver that's used all of the time on Doctor Who. Fitting that she'd be rescued by something similar."

They found scream just before she was able to corner another human victim to suck his defenseless brains out. Depravity opened by using her energy whips as lassos to pull her away from the screaming man. Depravity couldn't hold her target for long as Scream let out a ferocious roar and tore the whips to pieces. As she clawed and bit and Depravity, Fiona positioned herself behind scream and let out a low-level sonic blast.

This made the symbiote boil and blister, but it clung to its host desperately. Sasha lassoed Scream again to hold her in place for more sonic blasts. Fiona increased the frequency of the blast. Swaths of the creature were being blasted off Gwen's bare body. Gwen's screams started to pierce through the symbiote's voice. Still, the symbiote remained and tried to regenerate across its captive host.

"What are you waiting for," Depravity called out while struggling to keep Scream in place, "Hit her with more juice!"

Focusing on keeping her blast at an exactly measured potency, "If I go too high, I could shatter every bone in Gwen's body! This has to be done with precision..."

"I can't hold her for too much longer," Depravity called as her whips began to lose their strength as well as their glow.

"I'm sorry Gwen," Fiona whispered as she brought up her Sonic Blaster by not just a few intervals but whole magnitudes. On a molecular level, Gwen's bones and softer tissues began to shake apart. Micro-fractures formed across each of her vertibrae. Her skull could no longer support the stress of the muscles and tissues pressing down on it. Just as it seemed like the symbiote would never relinquish its prisoner, it gave way. Gwen's naked and nearly lifeless body collapsed onto the cement of the sidewalk like a sack of potatoes. The scream symbiote attempted to inch away down the street as it lost cohesion. Fiona couldn't let it get away. With a sustained blast of the Guyver's head beam... Fiona slowly, so she could hear the symbiote scream, vaporized the monster.

Sasha was already checking Gwen for life. When Fiona turned away from her disposed enemy to her devastated friend, she looked for any sign of good news from Depravity. There was no such acknowledgment from her new friend.
