I don't think it matters if a person is an atheist, agnostic, or even theistic... We've all had a friend like this that thinks *everything* is a test from a higher being trying to have a specific an precise relationship with *you*. Everything else these people do in their lives can be wonderful, friendly, or whatever.

It's when they get these silly ideas in their heads that socially awkward events are to be... pursued? Having been in a similar position, I knew that leaving was the best course of action. Gwen will be persuaded to stay, however.
