Description Just an attempt at using Prismacolor pencils to color.

It doesn't help when the only grey out of my pencil set is a Metallic Silver. lol
His right hand has a bit of green/blue color to it cuz it smudged, grrr.
Couldn't find a dark enough yellow for the sword.

Going to scraps when I have the whole piece colored in PS. I'm def not gonna finish coloring this traditionally.

I'd like critique.

(someone tell me some good coloring tutorials! >< )

Edit: lol, messed up title, should be Sword Knight, not Sword Blade. stupid me

my advice would be to try using compliments in the shadows. also (and i'm assuming that he's covered in shiny armor), look at the way colors reflect on surfaces like car. if you're looking at a car, you can see the blue of the sky and the colors from its surroundings reflected on its surface.

Didn't think his armor would need more shadows. I know his hands and his sword really need more, just didn't have the proper colors.
He's in a white box Jk. Thank you on the advice on the reflections, but I won't use that tip on a cartoon like this one. If I ever draw a vehicle, then I'll definitly keep that in mind.

Thanks for the tips and nice hearing from you again!

yeah, it was just advice on coloring, not necessarily this drawing specifically. you can even take those tips into photoshop, all mediums work similarly when it comes to color.

Only advice I can offer is to A LITTLE soft black on the darker green parts to give it more shadow, or a much darker green that goes well with the green showing. And maybe one more darker shade of yellow on the sword and sheath(SP?) ^^

I shall try that black or darker green shade. For the sword, I had the option of a brownish or a orangish tint and I couldn't decide which >< I shall try the brown though.

Thank you for the advice and I think you spelled sheath right. XP
