I think the text for her "Rebel" look should indicate the weapon she actually has.

It's a future weapon so there really is no name for it, so I called it what it resembles.

If that's the case, I think it more resembles a Tavor TAR-21 assault rifle. Last time I checked, the M4 isn't a bullpup. Check [link] to make a proper similarity matchup. You'll find a couple of similar weapons there.

as for the metals and brands on the right, I'm taking care of those during the coloring. What about the other thing? Meaning the rope isn't supposed to be around the back and just fades in the clothing? That kinda bothered me.

it doesnt fade but rather think of it as a ring missing an arc. That'll be where the 'rope' is sown into the uniform than letting it hang loose no? I'd be a pain in the ass to not leet it fall if it's not somehow connected to the uniform itself in a stable location.
