History:
Days after the Progenetor was killed in Oak Falls by the combined efforts of the townsfolk, the US Army dispatched a strike team to the ruins of Ashdowne, Pennsylvania after it was discovered that the creature may have laid eggs before it left the area. Armed with this knowledge, the task force was equipped with hazmat suits, flamethrowers, M16 rifles with grenade launchers, as well as M60 light machine guns. The objective of the task force was the termination of any and all egg clutches as well as any potentially dangerous mutants they encounter.
Arriving at dusk during a rainstorm, the task force split their efforts between town square and the residential area, before they would link up and converge on the power plant. The town and residential areas yielded no results aside from abnormally large wildlife that posed little to no threat, such as crickets and birds. With the search in these areas concluded, both squads regrouped and headed towards the power plant where it was suspected that they would find the eggs.
It didn't take the team long to discover the egg clutches...and the dozens of hideous mutants that had already spawned from some of them. M16 rifles clattered and flamethrowers roared as the task force destroyed both mutant and egg alike. Being infants and juveniles, the mutant creatures stood no chance against the overwhelming firepower the humans brought with them. After what felt like an endless wave, no more monstrosities emerged from the contaminated lake.
Believing all the creatures had been destroyed, the task force took tissue samples and whole specimens before leaving the perimeter of the reactor. As they made their way to the front of the reactor, they where greeted by an enormous mutant carrying a dead deer in it's snaggle-toothed mouth. The monster was 14 feet tall and stood upright, apparently bypassing the larval stage of it's parent. The humans froze solid upon coming face to face with the mutant, not expecting to encounter one so large. Quickly picking up on the scent of it's dead brethren awash on the human's suits, the beast dropped it's catch and attacked the task force. Rifles and flamethrowers were once again brought to bear, but unlike the weaker creatures from before, this one was unaffected by the flames and bullets.
The beast thrashed the humans with ease, tearing them apart in it's jaws. A blast of digestive juices made short work of another human, and a powerful tail-slap took care of another. Taking too many casualties, the task force fell back to the inside of the plant and barricaded the door with slabs of concrete. The task force desperately called for reinforcements as the monster outside slammed against the barricaded door. The aged and weathered concrete began to crack against the creature's onslaught. Suddenly, the beast ceased it's attempts to break into the plant, and all went quiet.
The task force took this time to dress wounds and reload their weapons before moving out. Their objective was to get to the roof of the plant and try to call for evac again. As they made their way up the corroding metal stairs, the creature's entire arm smashed through the concrete wall and it's hand grasped at the men. Again, gunfire failed to faze the creature as it gripped the metal railing of the stairs. With a tug, the creature tore a huge section of the stairway off the wall and pulled it back through the hole. Narrowly avoiding the collapsing stairway, the task force arrived at the roof where they hailed a helicopter for evac.
Suddenly, they heard a blood-curdling squeal that made the hair on the back of the human's necks stick up. Looking over the edge of the roof, they bore witness to the mutant salamander under attack by what appeared to be an enormous mutated boar. The swine was ruthless in it's attacks, using it's mass and jagged tusks to assail the amphibian while in the distance, the evac helicopter's propellers could be heard approaching the ghost town. The task force fired a flare into the air to signal the chopper but also ended up drawing the attention of the swine, who ended the fight temporarily by knocking the amphibian into the lake to investigate the flare.
The pig squealed aloud as it trotted towards the plant where it spotted the flare, inadvertently saving the young mutant. The UH-1 Huey touched down on the roof as the men boarded the aircraft, one manning the mounted machine gun. The swine squealed in anger as the helicopter took off and began raining lead down upon the mutant, who was irritated by the stinging projectiles but otherwise unharmed. Rejoining the fight, the young salamander had healed it's wounds and bit down on the boar's hunched back. The swine howled as the mutant's acidic saliva burned through it's hide.
After a struggle, the swine managed to dislodge the amphibian and ram the creature with it's thick skull. The amphibian crashed into the side of the plant and severely damaged the brittle, weathered concrete even further. The swine attacked again, ramming into the salamander and pushing it through the wall of the plant. Dust and debris where kicked up by the impact and both monsters where obscured. After a moment of screeching and howling from inside the building, the two beasts reappeared on the other end of the plant, smashing through the wall and rolling on the ground near the shore of the contaminated lake.
Both monsters quickly got back up and charged at each other, but the salamander had learned from it's mistakes. Rather than allowing the boar to ram it, the bipedal beast simply sidestepped the swine and bit down on one of it's hind legs. The boar squealed as the acidic saliva ate through flesh and muscle, all the way down to the bone. The salamander began to pull on it's crippled enemy's leg, dragging the swine towards the edge of the water. The swine tried to turn it's body and bite, but it's bulk prevented it from doing so.
With a mighty tug, the salamander pulled the swine halfway into the water as the creature still struggled, burying it's hooves into the ground to try and save itself from it's fate. The swine thrashed wildly as the hideously filthy water began to flood it's mouth, it's squeals of terror turning into gargles as it slowly disappeared beneath the surface. After about a minute, the salamander broke the surface and croaked aloud in victory, the swine's body nowhere to be found.
The creature now found itself under fire from the circling helicopter as well. The bullets did little but bother the beast, who spat a stream of acid at the flying pest before retreating into the depths of the lake. Low on ammo and manpower, the operation was aborted and a new strategy would need to be put in place to deal with this adolescent mutant and any others that may have survived the purge. About a week later, a full regiment was deployed in the area complete with tanks and helicopters to form a perimeter around the town to prevent the mutant or mutants from escaping the town.
A forward operating base was established at a gas station just outside town and would be the center of operations for the Ashdowne area. Dynamite was thrown in the lake to successfully coax the creature into exposing itself, bringing it under fire from numerous troops and vehicles. To the human's surprise, the creature had grown significantly, now standing at a staggering 42ft in height! The beast effortlessly waded through heavy gunfire and bellowed aloud in a rhythmic manner. Suddenly three other mutants of similar size emerged from every direction and attacked the intruders.
The humans stood no chance against four of the super-beasts, and those that weren't killed where forced to retreat. The four mutants screeched in triumph as they chased the retreating humans to the edge of town, picking off more humans along the way. These four seemed to excel at working together as a pack, with the apparent First Born being the leader as well as the strongest. It was clear then that these creatures had all come from the same nest; the surviving progeny of the Oak Falls monster.
For days, efforts where made to hunt and destroy the monsters, but the attempts where always thwarted either by the creature's being completely immune to whatever the army regiment had at their disposal, or via one of the other creatures springing an ambush to defend their sibling. Eventually, these four even managed to break the Ashdowne perimeter and escape into the wilderness outside the town. Seemingly in a ploy to force the humans to divide their efforts, the creatures split up and went their separate ways. The First Born, as he had come to be known as, was last seen heading south straight towards Philadelphia with another one of it's siblings following close behind.
The other two had completely thrown off their human pursuers, using various lakes and rivers to travel across the state of Pennsylvania without leaving tracks. The creatures would then wait until night to traverse on land to maximize stealth. With the First Born and his siblings on the loose and possibly heading towards populated areas, the army prepared for a crisis the likes of which the country had never seen before...

Another good job as usual Greasy. Loved the story to this profile. I do hope we are gonna get to see what Boar and the other siblings look like.
I do like that while they are not as large or as tough as some other Kaiju (From say series like Godzilla, Gamera or Ultraman), these creatures have their own way of being nationwide threats. Case in point, the First Born and his Mother's hides are tough enough, but it's their regenerative healing that makes them hard enough for armies to put down. That or they have a devastating trait like Cavernook's rabies epidemic, which required a nuke to fully exterminate.
Their smaller sizes also is what makes them easier to lose track of, these kaiju can easily go unseen for at least a little while in dense enough forests or by hiding in lakes.
Also is it just me but is each generation of Sandy's family...getting noticeably bigger and stronger...as well as healthier looking. Now granted healthy is a stretch, the First Born still looks like hell...but he doesn't have any torn tissue.
