Description Sonic and his friends return to Knothole after their first (and unsuccessful) mission. Memorials are made, friendships tested, chili dogs eaten, and a secret villain emerges to threaten the unity of the freedom fighters.

This continuity is unique based on MANY suggestions of my friends over the years. It incorporates elements from Sonic the Comic, the Archie Sonic comics, the games, the animated show, and liberally borrows elements from other genres and concepts as well.

A friend was nice enough to give me a copy of the original version of this story from when I uploaded it on my Jarredspekter account. I went back and borrowed elements from it and rewrote here and there so you'll find some familiar elements if you remember the original story and some new elements as well.

I like how Venom makes herself present.

And also, remember how you said the Forest of the Fallen would demarcate the dead from those merely captured and roboticized?

I tried to keep things a little ambiguous (it's still technically a kid's show!)
But I imagine, from a sort of expanded universe perspective, the dead are marked by the time of their birth (if known) and death as well as a red mark which can distinguish the missing from the fallen.

Did you have any suggestions?

Different markers to reflect what happened to each of them. Captured just get them plain, the missing with white marks, traitors with black marks, and the dead get larger markers with a proper grave elsewhere (The Decay Field, perhaps?).

Sweet! You really should become a writer for tv shows one day!

Very well written. I envy you for your skill. You have already made believable characters and a good platform in one segment than most shows can do in a season (or two or three or four). Well done!

Excellent work as always.

I especially love how you wrote Venom and Robotnik, and this definitely brought up some nostalgia for your earlier work.

Sally: "Alice, it’s me Sal. Your commanding officer! Your princess!"
Alice: "'Princess'?"
(Sally sighs)
Sally: "Fine, your queen. It’s just that title makes me sound so … OLD!" XD

Actually, I had my own theory for why Sally keeps referring to herself as Princess - want to hear it?

Basically, the idea is that Sally's parents, the former King and Queen, are captured by Robotnik, and essentially act as "puppet leaders" of the regions of Mobius occupied by the Robotnik Empire.  Thus, Sally only considers herself a Princess (albeit one in exile), and her goal is to kick out Robotnik from Mobius so that her parents could become King and Queen in full, not just in name.

Of course, this is only setting up a cruel "Wham Episode" when Sally finds her parents, only to discover they're both Roboticised...

I like it! That might still be the case!
She just has a more common excuse for being called something else XD

Going slightly off topic for a sec, I actually had some ideas for the Drakon Empire, and its former relation with Blaze's kingdom.  Want to hear them?

Well, this is going to be a slight alternate history from your own re-imagining, but here's what I have: in Blaze's home dimension, the world of Sol was ruled by Blaze's ancestors (which you call the "Kojo", so I'll go with that).  The ruling Kojo controlled the island archipelagos scattered around Sol, with the Drakon being an underwater civilization, only with the Kojo giving them their "reverse diver suits" in exchange for becoming their loyal vassals.

This leads to a civil war within Sol, but not between the Kojo and Drakon (at least, not at first), but between the Kojo and the Echidnas (along with other Mobian races allied with the Echidna to resist the Kojo's imperial rule).  While the Kojo believed firmly in order to the point of borderline tyranny, the Echidna were basically warrior-monks who believed in chaos, of letting nature run its course.  While the Kojo imposed order with the Sol Emeralds, the Echidnas fought back by crafting the Chaos Emeralds.

In the end, the Echidna and their Mobian allies found themselves outmatched by the Kojo and the Drakon (the later of whom served as elite shock troops for the Kojo), and crafted the Master Emerald, which took their final stonghold of Angel Island, and took it to our Earth (with the Mobians eventually spreading throughout the Oceania region of Earth before the war between the Robotnik Empire and United Federation put them in the crossfire.

As for the Kojo and Drakon, the Drakon felt the Kojo's failure to annihilate the Echidna meant they were too weak to serve as rulers, and they revolted - as it stands, the Kojo are divided between feudal families inhabiting six of the seven seas of Sol, while the Drakon prowl most of the waters of Sol, completely dominating the seventh sea of Sol.

So, what do you think of this?
