Its funny, at that point the world was awash with all this, people in the street actually thought we were moving forward - we were going to the stars....then along came the "its a waste of money" brigade...NOW look at the world

Agreed and the hippies destroyed things as well along side politics ugh... I wish some people in this world didn't exist. By now we should be on the Moon and exploring and even pushing beyond. But thanks to President Obama the only option we have now is Space X and Soyuz a real backwards step.
