I knew I just had to do this when I heard the song last night.
About the line "I wanna lay you down in a bed of roses", I am completely aware of the grammatical error there. It's supposed to be "I wanna lay you down on a bed of roses" but hey, I didn't write the song so don't bother correcting that mistake here. I just followed Bon Jovi's lyrics. Anyway, it eventually became correct at the end of the chorus.
