Description Long ago an Imperial city, Port Andrew has gone unnoticed and neglected these last 30 years. Many of the towns structures destroyed through war and delapidation are now overrun with foliage forming the most picturesque renaissance gardens. It is rumoured that Port Andrew was once the heart of an insurrection against the first Empire and was devestated as a result. Its architecture is particularly fine and boasts the best weather experienced on the main Islands. Food is relatively cheap and the town has enjoyd a wealth of trade with both the Republic and Empire. Port Andrew remains neutral territory and is protected by its own, albeit primitive yet ardert, militia and navy. Visitors are advised to seek out the Governors Mansion for accomadation as it is the principle guide to hotels and inns, as well as having several rooms open to rent itself.

1: Center of governance, Identical to Port Devia's Admiralty but without the ball room.

2: Drydocks, two berths for the construction of small vessels, attached sheds and warehouses.

3: Marketplace, place for barter and commerce, for the most part it is on the slope to the quayside.

4: Pierhead, suitable for large and small vessesl, it has a higher central gangway for traffic and two lower ones for unloading.

5: Pavillion, great rotund ball room and theatre. Sits proudly attop the highest point on the headland.

6: Free Port, used by all and sundry, principally fishing but free port comes under no law or dominion and has become a crucial moot point for pirates and privateers alike.

7: Perhaps the greatest authority on devian lore is the old satchem. This rare haven of indigenous peoples has become a warren of caves and tunnels and perhaps the last refuge of the friendly natives.

8: The glade, perhaps perfection is too generous, but its rolling hills, streams and ponds make for easily Devias most pleasant gardens.

9: Crofters Narrow is the principle stretch of farmland feeding the town of Port Andrew. Protected on all sides it has become a glen of tranquility.

10: Place des Hero's hosts statues of forgotten heroes from Devians past.

11: The Barracks, i crude looking building, harking back to the towns years as an imperial stronghold. It now forms the drill hall and supply center of the towns Militia.

12: Observatory ridge has an array of ornate and glazed domes and turrets. Their original purpose remains unknown, but they now form a series of greenhouses, pavillions and mansions, beloved of the wealthier inhabitants of Port Andrew.

13: Fishguard has developed as the principal fishing quay for the town. Undisturbed by larger shipping it has become a safe haven awash with dinghies and small boats.

14: The taverna, presently disowned, was once a considerable tavern and inn. Thatched and built in a tudor style it is a beauty to behold, but has begun to suffer from neglect.

15: Salt's point was, during the last war, the last escape of Captain Lucius Salt who, having held the attacking Imperials back to the last man, threw himself from the point in an attempt to reach his ship that he had succesfully given time to escape. The beloved captain however was lost among the waves and never seen again. The Point has become something of a tourist point, but more so of an evening when it becomes the best place to observe the surf.

16: The Manor farm is a fortified farmhouse and stableblock. It is home to the towns most wealthy inhabitant, the Marquis de Montfalcon, a former Imperial officer. It is reknown for the quality of its horses and its bread, and the Marquesa is well regarded among fashionable circles.

17: St Trinians, The foremost religious establishment in Port Andrew. The Church has become more of a home these days as it has become a sanctuary to those fleeing the War.

Your attention to detail is awesome. I can't help but imagine how long it took to draw all of that, and how difficult it was. Excellent work.

Excellent mate!

Hey, I was meaning to talk to you about MoW, something about characters.
I have been thinking now, as we are at peace with the Empire and a new chapter is beginning in Devian history. John Paul Jones died in 1792 and its 1796, not only that but I'm supposedly only 32.

I am considering retiring Jones to make way for a new character.

Age isn't the only reason for me to consider this. I've been the commanding officer of the American naval forces here in Devia since the RPs conception, and since then I've also sort of become a dominant naval figure in general. Because of this, I am seeing a trend in my RP... they seem more like spoon-fed orders to the lower ranks so they can carry them out and enjoy the war. In addition, many aspiring officers are still mid'men or lieutenants, some commanders and captains... we even have a couple of new senior officers... but there really aren't may chances of command (especially within the American ranks) unless we see a surge of new characters and have enough to create another squadron. So I am considering a new character to start over as an American junior officer and let the current junior officers move to mid-grade and the mid-grades move to senior officer status. This would give others a chance to lead and would fairly freshen up the board.

How does this idea sound to you? Would you even be interested in retiring alongside me and joining as lieutenants? We could bring back the old days that were full of adventure and free of the tiring duties of flag-rank...
