Description A step by step guide to BASIC antiquing, this is the sort of thing anyone can do to add that centuries old aesthetic to a drawing.

With the right resources, this simple degree of antiquing can be enough to get a convincing effect, but the best antiquing requires far more layers.

I intend to do a tutorial for advanced antiquing and also a sepia processing tutorial.

If anyone is interested, let me know

Have you made an advanced tutorial yet? I have used this technique on my latest label. Thank you for it.

this is really for photos but the same principles apply to your drawings. You can skip some parts like the frame.

No I haven't, I'm usually too busy nowadays with work...plus I don't have photoshop installed. Is it possible to do it with other programmes such as openCanvas?

It's more or less the same what I have done with my manuscripts, never tried with drawings but maybe I could do. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, its really very basic stuff, but unless you've been shown it, it's impossible to understand - im always finding new functions on photoshop, and what amuses me most, is how two people will use two completely different methods to achieve the same ends - and look identical at the end too!
