History: Born and raised just outside of Solaceon Town, she had a fairly standard farm girl childhood. In high school, she and her twin sister, Rose, started a garden club that ended up gaining quite a bit of popularity, which was when each sister realized something about themselves. For Poppy, it was that nothing made her happy like figuring out how to care for living things. For Rose, it was that she wanted to move on to bigger things.
The two began to drift apart senior year when it became clear to Poppy that her twin was getting started on a new life, and the things that had brought them together when they were younger were not a part of that new life. Rose tried to encourage her sister to dream bigger and work harder before she left, but it didn’t do much to change her. After Rose moved away, Poppy tried going to college, as planned, and majoring in botany, but the local university and her now-empty bedroom felt too empty.
Deciding to try and take Rose’s advice, Poppy dropped out of college and took a job as an agricultural research assistant in Ivywood, hoping that would push her in the right direction.
