Description
This image started off as a speed sketch and was one of the roughest drawings i had ever done. After i had finished in about two minutes i kinda liked it so i spent a fair bit more time working on it and this is the final result. I am going to do another version, well draw a background at least and edit her in, picture a ships deck with all debri everywhere and fallen masts and sails... the pirate girl in the middle standing there surrounded by flames of the burning debri. I think if i can get it right id like to see it coloured by someone as im sure it'd look very nice.Anyway, this was drawn on default photocopy paper size like normal with a 2b pencil. Hope everyone likes it comments are welcome as always.

Also pay more attention to your shadowing. Where is your sun shining? Full sun? Partial sun? Smoke impeded sun? Morning or mid-day? Define your shadows to make it more real.

It is cool but it would definetly take some thought into a background that would not take away from the beautiful subject you already have. Try doing a blurred background with the things that you have described. That would make the subject stand out but still have the piratety surroundings that you seek.

The parrot looks like a vulture actually - which just makes it a very appropriate selection of imagery... otherwise its superb. I'm pretty new to your work but i loved it sooo much I already downloaded your OZ drawing and i'm busy colouring it now!!! your work is certainly amazing!

I'm not entirely convinced she's undead, if you showed me the pic I'd just say she's a normal pirate.

wow sexy-cool. i love the waterstains on her dress, and the shading on her face probably my only complaint (or not) is that it looks like she's grabbing the parrot, b/c of the dark shading in her fist

heh very nifty. The outfit has a very piraty feel (the gloves are really cool). She could be a little more dead for an undead but that could be worked out with coloring. Nice job all around though
