Description
Thought I'd take a break from superheroes to take a swing at one of my favorite fictional characters, Sherlock Holmes (and his partner John Watson).I imagine them roaming the streets of Edo, hounding criminals for the local magistrate.

I love these! I really love Watson's expression and Sherlock's relaxed posture.

Ah, I've humored the idea of Sherlock Holmes/Rurouni Kenshin crossover once. Despite how ridiculous it sound, it seemed intriguing.

Have you ever read The Curious Casebook of Inspector Hanshichi? by Okamoto Kido? The main character was a deductive thinker and Tokugawa-era detective that solved "unsolvable" cases. He had a lot in common with Holmes!

No, but I've heard of it. I ought to read it, I guess!

Is this based upon Sherlock or just the books?
Either way this is awesome, just curious.

I'm watching Sherlock now, but I love the books and the old Jeremy Brett show.

Brett will always be Sherlock to me.
I like the Cumberbatch version, but like a few adaptions it is taking a lot of liberties with the source material, still great though.

I love Brett's cool/manic lizard-like Holmes very much. He is my Official Sherlock Holmes. --But if you were to make him younger and handsomer and put him in modern London, I don't think you could do much better than Cumberbatch. His performance is quite similar to Brett's, and I think that is why I like it.

Mmmm, kinda, I think Brett had Cumberbatch beat in the looks department when he was younger.
I am looking forward to the explanation of how he survived the fall, I hope it isn't too obvious.
