Description
Holy hell I will say right away that I am in no way a concept artist/landscape artist since I pretty much butchered this. I never thought sand would be so difficult to colour good god.Anyway, that aside, I've had this idea in my head for a while for the Nalariid Capital city; Xadua. The rock that the city is suspended under contains a crystalline core, allowing it to float in one place effectively, slowly rotating so that the entire city receives light throughout the day. The bio-synthetic garden that sits upon the very top not only provides enjoyment for the inhabitants, but helps in the manufacture of water for the entire city.

a floating city in a desert. interesting. that could be useful to me. I buried a city in a book i wrote years ago. Β the lost city of finax. that could be the reason it was lost because its always on the move. Β I wonder if I could use this picture for that idea?

pity still thats a great idea of yours. I buried my city with giant sand worm guardians. in the middle of a content sized desert that was once was a great forested area 1000 years ago. Β I have other plays that float. like the folding castle and the ivory spires of kruimin. Β so there is that.Β

The sand looks too painterly imo, but I guess it gets the point across. xD
