Description
Drawing done traditionally with graphite pencils on 7"x10" sketchbook paper, then colored in photoshop cs4."Good news? I found the problem. Bad news? I made it worse."
It started out with just a mechanic staring up at her handiwork, or the work ahead of her. But upon finishing drawing and coloring her it ended up being a mechanic who's about to get into some trouble for her handiwork, LMAO!
Still forcing myself to put my characters in some kind of BG. They're baby steps, but the environment looks...passable I think, lol! Of course if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears ^_^
I'm so happy to have this one finished. It was alot of fun to work on and experiment with.

LMAO! It's not often I get comments laced with innuendo; I had to stifle my laughter so as not to wake up the house, LOL! Well played sir, well played!

Masterful style.
Cute subject matter.
Great colouring.
I'd buy a comic book with art as consistent as this in.
More please!

D'awww, thank you so much! We've been throwing the idea around to make a comic, but it's honestly really never occurred to us to actually...make one, lol!
I guess we'll have to change that in the near future!

Great drawing and concept.
Was the mechanic intentionally supposed to look like Kaylee from Firefly?

Actually not at all, lol! But being a fellow Firefly fan that's a pretty neat thing to hear, so I'll take the credit for the unintentional mistake and say that i completely meant for that to happen, LMAO!!!
Glad you like it, lol!

Heheh, awesome! I wish I could pull off the goggle smoky dust thing, when I try they just look like raccoons. Maybe I've been doing too many T-shirt designs lately but the only critique I have is it's a bit hard to read what's going on from a distance, but it's not a serious malady. Well done!
How are things these days? Are you and DJ still game to do a segment for my senior project? The Worms 3 thing where a character discovers he's a character

You're totally right. When you look at the thumbnail everything gets so muddied and it aggravates me more than it should, LOL!
Dude, like you even have to ask...we're up for whatever you want for your project! We love you and we'd be more than happy to help!! All we ask is that you give us details so we don't screw up your project, LOL!

This is brilliant. Her expression really fits with your description. she looks a little bit worried! The background looks great. Really adds to the whole scene.

As a mechanic I can say that many times you do make things worst before you can fix them . The most obvious example is having to shut something down that someone really wants to run before you can work on it . Nice picture I like the smoke and dirt most machinery is dirty .

Thank you so much for this comment! It's actually real comforting to know that the drawing is even a little believable, lol!
Although in real life, I'd take a step back from mechanics for the safety of others. I know how to do an oil change, install a car battery, change a flat tire and brakes. Anything beyond that and you're asking for trouble, LOL!

"I made it worse" Haha XD
It's not bad for your first "baby steps" into backgrounds, since it definitely passes as a wrecked environment I love the character's expression, she looks like she's normal with these conditions somehow
(not to mention the different eye colors are interesting!)
Great work :3

Aww, thanks! I've been having this strange kick with drawing characters with different color eyes; not sure why...maybe I just can't make up my mind, LMAO!
I still approach BG's cautiously because I start getting confused with too many different points of perspective. I've done the training stuff and it looks well enough...if I was just drawing boxes for the rest of my life, LOL! I know there's a way to put life into inanimate objects, I just haven't found it yet. I really feel shamed by this obstacle. So thanks for the encouragement, I'll keep workin' at it!

You're welcome
I think different colored eyes are cool, particularly when they help define a character :3
Yeah that's a good point. It's nice to approach it cautiously rather than to make a huge mistake on a complicated background piece.
