Description
Just a little tribute to the master of all video game languages/runes! If not for Dungeon Master, I may not have become a conlinguist. (Or, a linguist for that matter.)Related content

I remember playing this as a young'un with my dad!
I'm playing it again and am using this to translate some of the spell guides, thanks

Also that's a lightning bolt spell written up there, if I'm not mistaken?

Which manual is this from? I think I might still have one of the old AD&D ones kicking around.

This is actually for a game called Dungeon Master. It was released on the Atari ST a long time ago. [link] (video_game)
It's the main reason I got into Linguistics and Conlanguages. (^_^)y

I think it's more like a Logogram/Ideogram system. If you read the descriptions of each "rune" in the user's manual, most of the symbols are related to an idea or element, and some are just abstract ideas. For example, "ven" represents poison via a black widow symbol. Also, "neta" has two syllables. It would be a very unusual writing system to say the lest. Good for spell casting though! (^_^);

And I'm going down a very same route, myself. Would this be an alphabet or a syllabary?
