Im a big fan of nintendo universe, specially I love Zelda and Mario games, not only for the gameplay, also for the characthers. Miyamoto is a genius!
A friend is always making fun about the "childish" look of mario, link, etc., the fun fact is he like the gameplay of Zelda games, but he hates how Link looks.

"link looks like a girl, you know what he need? A BEARD, MUSCLES, GRIMDARK, TEXTURES, POUCHES, MORE REALISTIC, BE A BADDAS MANLY LINK!!!"

I can understand your friend's ideas for Cloud, him being a soldier and all. But the point of Link is that he's a little farm boy that ended up being thrust into a quest. It wouldn't make sense for him to be that manly.

Heh. Link was only 18 or so in the game, and I'd stab a nun to have them make a sequel where he gets kidnapped by slavers and forced to work in a mill for years, making him a manly man whom is taken into a pit fighter arena for more years where he gets taken off for training for MORE years and then goes off to become a king by his own hand.

Very well done. It seems to me, though, that his sword and boots are fading into the floor a bit. Also, I'm not sure if I can see even a manly man Link smoking a cigar

somehow this version of manly fit better than cloud's maybe because of the clothing, it's classic european and fits better
