Im a big fan of nintendo universe, specially I love Zelda and Mario games, not only for the gameplay, also for the characthers. Miyamoto is a genius!
A friend is always making fun about the "childish" look of mario, link, etc., the fun fact is he like the gameplay of Zelda games, but he hates how Link looks.

"link looks like a girl, you know what he need? A BEARD, MUSCLES, GRIMDARK, TEXTURES, POUCHES, MORE REALISTIC, BE A BADDAS MANLY LINK!!!"

Wonderful work on this. The darker colors really bring out the...MAN in Link. And am I the only one who likes the facial hair....and still thinks he would work on the Nintendo??

It really is pathetic how some people need the "Frank-Miller-Manly-Filter" on everything just to feel comfortable with... their sexuality? XD
I don't look at all like one sip of esteroids nor do I look at all like the metrosexual-manga-bishonen type, but I sure feel more related to Link's kind of character than to any bulky ΓΌber soldier or almost primitive macho-man hominid.
Anyway, your picture is awesome as always, in terms of quality and in how it portrays the idea.

There's nothing on Earth that could ever make Link smoke, especially since no one else in Hyrule does.
That said, in another ten years, Link could realistically look something like this. I'm reminded of Norman from Mighty Max.
