Description This was my first try at the wolfsnail DTA xD didn't turn out too great.

I really like the lighting of this. The moon looks great and the blue and the pink really helps it pop out.
The background does look messy because the pencil strokes are going in different directions and kind of takes away from the picture.

Thank you! I like the lighting and stuff too, I just think I messed it up with the background Do you have any tips for doing backgrounds? I'm bad at them but you're so good at them xD

Okay for drawings that have backgrounds you should always color the background first and the foreground last because if you do it the opposite way the background looks like is on top of the foreground. So color the background first so it looks like it's behind the subject matter.
And also when you are coloring a big area never change the direction of your pencil lines (example: doing it side to side the whole time instead of switching it in the middle of the process and doing it up and down) because it is very glaring and doesn't give the look of a smooth or flat surface. Sorry for the long walk of text. ^^'
