Description This is the second scene from Book No.42, last of The Railway Series Books (Thomas And His Friends) and this scene is when Douglas had crashed into the set of buffers that just spent three days mending.

Douglas: Ouch! That hurt!

Narrator: The new buffers had stopped him. But unfortunately, Douglas had been moving faster than Donald. He was in a terrible mess - his front was badly bent and he was smeared with bright red paint, which hadn't had time to dry.

Foreman: You silly great engine! Three days work and in three seconds, you come and smash it all to pieces!

Narrator: The foreman's paint brush still have red paint in it and some of the paint flew out and stuck on Douglas' nose. Douglas' front wheels were off the rails, so James had to come and rescue him.
