Ahsley was to be diverted onto the passing loops to allow Boxford Manor to leave with his passengers, but the silly trucks went bumping and banging into one another, sending her out onto his line.

"What are you doing, Ashley!?" Boxford exclaimed. Ashley braked as hard as ever she could, throwing all her weight against the loaded train to prevent the silly trucks from pushing her headlong into Boxford. A fraction of an inch separated Ashley from Boxford, both of whom had squeezed their eyes shut. He opened one eye, and could see around the bend that her brake van was missing. "Ashley, you were going to take care of Toad today, right?" He asked.

"Yes. And I'm doing a splendid job of it, right Toad?" She said. Once again she still heard not even a peep from behind her train. Then it dawned on her. "Fizzling fireboxes! I've left him!! Oh no, Oliver's going to blow his dome when he finds out about this!"
