God I almost cried. I wish Ichigo had died instead. It's no fair how he's always getting stronger right at the end where you think he's gonna die :l

I disagree with that final battle, it was so unbalanced. The first part Ulquiorra owns Ichigo and goes on saying he can regenerate faster than anyone else, then Ichigo goes super saiyan 3 hollow mode and whoops him the same way. This scene was touching and so is your art but Ulquiorra's fall was not satisfactory for me. One slash and one cero...that was it...on the other hand mister Grimmjow gets slashed in the chest, pummeled, gets hit by a few Getsugas, gets slashed again, then skewered and finally almost gets split in half by Nnoitra and still doesn't die...

ulquiorra died because he went off his limits. i guess his 2nd release and last that long and considering the damage he took

If not the most touching scene in the manga, definitely ONE of them. I'm glad Kubo handled Ulquiorra's death in a satisfying way. ^_^
Though I have to admit, thinking back over this scene, I'm sort of reminded by the end of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I feel like one of the characters off-screen should be saying, "After all this time, he finally learned to love. And now it's too late." Or maybe that's just me...
Anyway, great job on capturing the emotions of the manga in such a simple yet beautiful picture.

Man, not exactly my favorite Espada, but he made a great enemy. To those who thought it was out of character, he always exhibited a misunderstanding of others. A perfect end for an evil that was destined to be purified. Another great pic from you to Geofffffff

Don't get me wrong, I thought Ulquiorra was a damn good villain, but this part always struck me as being way out of character, by a very long stretch, since he's defined pretty much by apathy and malice.
