Nooooo! I missed November!

December crept up so stealthily, I didn't even see it coming! I'd meant to have something finished for the month of November, so I could do another one of those monthly art summaries for 2013. Oh well. I started this one on November 30, so I think I can still use this for that month. And even if I shouldn't, I'm going to.

When I was younger, I put a bunch of glow-in-the-dark stars on my bedroom ceiling, so that when I went to sleep, I could gaze up and see the stars as I fell asleep. Then one night as I was in bed, I looked up, and instead of making out a constellation, I saw the figure of a relaxing puff from the neck down. So, that's how I drew Ballad here, in that pose, gazing up at the same pattern as is on my ceiling. Hopefully you can see what I see; it was always a nice image to have in my head as I drifted off.

You'll also notice that I've added a skirt to Ballad's wardrobe, as well as changing her shorts to black. I think this suits her well.

I might come back to this and add shading, but I was working on this so much today that I just wanted to upload it as soon as I could. I'm really tired, and I work tomorrow morning, but this was worth it.
