Then again... if I go to the farmer's market tomorrow and they're all out of apples, there's going to be hell to pay

Though, there is one thing about this that's bothering me:

The six-'fingered' wings.

Yeah, I'm not familiar with bat wings and the anatomy's broken in a number of ways (the 'fingers' coming out of the 'elbows' doesn't bother you?). When scrounging for references, I chose the first one that displayed the wing musculature well, and unfortunately it was a questionable, slightly fictitious 3D model that looked good at first glance.

Ah, I see.

I don't have a problem with a finger coming out of the elbow, given that the webbing doesn't attach down the full length of their torso like real bats, it makes sense that there would be something else to support it. Though I find that having two fingers there is somewhat off-putting, not sure why.

At the end of the day, it really does take a lot of guesswork to figure out this fantastical anatomy. That's a big part of what I love about TF, and even in the scope of six-limbed creatures like Pegasi and batponies (six limbs = forelegs + hind legs + wings), there are a lot of unique ways you could look at it! I've not put a ton of thought into the biomechanics of batpony wings, but that's certainly an interesting approach to them.
