He's my Forgotten Realms alter-ego.  Third son of Lord Celelin (Silverpoole) of Waterdeep, talented in magic, 12 years old when he begins adventuring (at Level-2 Wizard)

Google it.  It's a fantasy world in Dungeons and Dragons, the most popular gaming world.  Dozens of novels are set in it.
Waterdeep is one of the major cities; almost anything can be purchased there, IF you have sufficient money, the owner willing to part with it, and you always run the chance of getting ripped off.  The continent is riddled with old ruins and tombs to explore, kill monsters, and take treasure.
