Phases the entire starship into a parallel dimension. It not only turns the ship invisible to sensors, it enables the vessel to pass through solid matter, such as an asteroid or another vessel. It is also a quite effective defensive device, as enemy fire and torpedoes would simply pass through the ship without harming it.
