Description
Mono Lake, CA. "Mono is for Number One"This alien landscape is filled with rock formations that are created by the rising of calcium rich water. All of this used to be underwater. As the lake dried up, they were revealed. For most part of the 20th century , this is where LA gets its water from. It was not until recently did that stop because the water level was getting too low., threatening wildlife.
Look carefully, the black stuff are actually flies. There were millions of them all around. It was like an interactive floor you walk on. Every step you take swarms of insects fly away from your feet. The Ground appeared alive!

I love the shot, but I dislike the processing...
Have you considered investing in a filter system?

filtering system? I have a generic cokin, but I rarely use it. Since I have a ultra wide, the mount shows up in my shots. I hand held the square filters to my lens now. (for purpose of speed, One thing im starting to notice-if im going on a trip with anyone, they either get too impatient with my setup or they start borrowing my tools)
This one has issues. I have to say, i did not hold the glass close enough to my lens. The resulting glare from cokin is captured becuase the sun is behind me.
