I might have an idea. As far as the Limit Cut episode, Sora might be traveling through time to save Kairi. According to Nomura's Law (of time travel), a version of him had to exist at both source and destination, so he must've had to give up his whole body to try to save Kairi, hence his being in the Station to the Heart with Namine prior to the Lingering Will's clash with Terra-Xehanort. And because of that, everyone else had to fight their main battles without Sora round to help them, which would explain why you would get to play as the other Gaurdians (though, hopefully, we would get to play as Kairi). As for the secret episode, either Kairi would try to help Sora or Riku would look around in what place he ended up in to save Sora before confronting Yozora while Sora looks around in Shibuya.

Kairi hasn't been shown across the series more then she should have been, alongside Ventus and especially Terra. Even Axel's appearances were somewhat dialled down alongside Xion and maybe Roxas.

I agree with what you said about Kairi not having as much screen time as she deserves. But given the state of what's happened with the other mentioned characters? I think it's understandable they don't get a lot of screen time. That's just my opinion though. I hope it hasn't upset you in any way.
