Description
Chimera and Harper were walking along a small path, minding their own business when they both, for it was quite loud, heard much activity nearby. They both ran towards the source of the noise and found themselves at a clearing. A Viperwolf was trapped in a large metal net, not of either human design. They Both ran to the Viperwolf, to attempt to free it, when they heard a deafening roar, not from a creature.
Chimera and Harper both jumped in shock, and turned slowly. Even Harper seemed scared, for this was not something of Pandora. They both turned to face it, and saw a humanoid, not much shorter than them, walking towards them.
You did not need to read its mind to see that this thing was angry. Chimera attempted to read its mind, but all it felt in the consciousness of that being was rage, pride and honor. Harper ,also, could tell this thing was angry.
The being flicked its arm, and made a large blade appear from a box strapped to its arm. Chimera and Harper didn't think much of the creature, and thought that they could take this thing down without too much trouble.
The fight began, and the being seemed impossible to kill. Harper fired off a whole magazine of ammo at it, and it just stood there and took the punishment. Then, as if to say "My Turn", It fired the same kind of metal net from another box on its other arm at Harper, rushed towards him, blade drawn.
With Harper being trapped by the net, Chimera sprang to his defense. She Drew her dagger, though she feared that would not be enough. The Being knocked the dagger from her hand, and punched her. Other beings could only hit home a glancing pass, but this Creature was Strong. Chimera's head snapped back, and the momentum of the creature caused her to fly backwards, and hit against a tree, and was knocked unconscious.
By Now Harper was free of the net, and was rushing towards the creature. The Being grabbed his neck, and lifted him high in a choke hold. Harper was struggling for breath while the Being was looking at Harper's Chest.
The Creature was looking inside Harper's chest, and saw a strange sickness on his lungs and heart. So the Being was satisfied, and sure that this specimen would not be tainted. The Creature let Harper Drop, and started to walk away.
But Harper was pissed off at the creature's behavior.
"Don't you turn your back on me!" he shouted, and fired his pistol at the creature. Again, the creature stood there and took it. This Being was foolish enough to shoot at it! So the Creature turned around, drew its blade, and impaled Harper, stomach first, on its blade. Then, as the Creature was sure that this thing would not get up again, withdrew its blade and walked away.
Chimera came to in a hazy blur, to see the Creature's boot fall down inches from her face. She was still woozy, and got up with a groan. The Creature turned to her, and she could hear its voice within her head. "Tend to your friend. He is Injured. We will meet again, and with far worse consequences than this. Next time, do not interfere with my kill." And with these words, the Creature walked away.
Chimera slowly got up, feeling bruised where she had hit the tree, and where the Creature had hit her felt like she had played chicken with a Sturmbeast. She crawled over to Harper, and activated the emergency signal. This effort cost her a massive amount of energy, and she passed out and let the black mist float over her eyes…
