Description
ATTENTION dA FREAKS! (As if a picture of a scantily clad woman didn't get your attention already.....)Commissions are open and I want to draw, so order up! Sketches, finished art, black & white, and full color are all acceptable and in just about any style you'd like. Take a look at the rest of my gallery for more styles.
Prices will be determined on a case by case basis. If you'd like a pricing estimate, send me a note or email with your commission details.
And please do not ask about commissions in the comments here or on my profile page. Note or email only, please. Please type "Commission Inquiry" in your Subject line.
Regarding this piece itself, I thought it'd be fun to do my take on a 1950s ad complete with pinup girl. The little text blurbs are phrases that were used in real ads from that era, and it's funny to see how drastically advertising in general has changed. Ads from decades past seemed more like gentle invitations, whereas now you HAVE to use product X or else you'll be a dateless loser AND you'll smell bad.

I am looking to have some individual "inklings" done. Β They will be of my friends inklings in the game with some personal touches done to each. Β I can send you the specs of each if you agree to do it. Β I offer good pay amounts and super fast pay times. Β I am not demanding and am generally easy to please. Β

I don't have to use anyone's product to be dateless or smell bad. It just happens naturally.

Haha, your comment made me laugh. I had no idea what you were talking about until I remembered what I wrote in the picture description.

I really like the coloring (and of course, the lady itself). Photoshop, SAI, or Corel?

Ok, I want to know who your inspiration was...huh? Huh? Huh?!
Very nice pinup. You know, I have a huge book of old pinups if you would like to see it sometime. I could always bring it over.

Hmmm.....red hair, green eyes, glasses.....who could THAT be? Of course, it wasn't an attempt to caricaturize or cartoon her exactly, although that would have been fun too!
I'd love to see the book!

I'll try to remember to bring it next time I can get there. *sigh* I want my son back...
I want to see her as a caricature!! It would be great!

Really nice. I like the style and the colors, especially how the outline colors of the figure change with whether it's her skin/clothes/hair, etc. Really nice shading and highlights too!

GeorgeSellas In reply to leafbunk [2008-12-21 16:56:06 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I like to colorize the linework because it cuts down on the harshness that you get with a solid black line and makes it look softer.
