I colored this piece a little differently than I normally do, which is why it has a more animated look to it than most of my other stuff.I was going for that early twentieth century pulp sci-fi feel again (like the Barsoom illustrations). If I ever do another piece using these characters, I think I'd like to show the figure whose shadow is cast across the wall here.

Very cool piece man. It has that Fantasy mixed with present day adventure feel to it. I mean everything about it screams Fantasy, but for the fact that he has a gun. I love the contrast.

I drew this after reading a book called "Darkness and Dawn" by George Allen England. It's about a man and woman who wake up in New York City far in the future after it's been wiped out and overrun by strange creatures and plant life.
This picture is more inspired by it as opposed to an actual scene from the story though.
