If you followed my status updates, this was based off the “teacher” incident I got into last Monday. (Also, Adult Miriam works as the schools gym teacher while Mei is a motivational speaker, Tana confirmed it when I asked her about it.)

One afternoon, Mei was in the living room reorganizing everything. She felt tired and sat down turned on the TV, then Miriam and Maya returned home, Maya wasn’t feeling happy as she normally would.

Mei: Hi, Maya…. Uh, what’s the matter?

Maya didn’t answer and just walked to her room crying.

Mei: Maya? What’s wrong? Come back.

(Door closes)

Mei: That’s odd, normally she would tell me how her day was.

Suddenly, Miriam walked into the house. She was also looking rather upset. Mei knew something was wrong.

Mei: Hi, Miriam. How was work?

Miriam: Not very good, Mei.

Mei: Oh, I’m sorry, Miriam. Also, why is Maya so sad?

Miriam: *sigh* She and I had a pretty bad day.

Mei: We should go talk to her.

Mei opens the door to find Maya in her panda for crying on her bed.

Mei: Maya?

Maya: What do you want, Mom? *sniff* *gasp* I don’t wanna talk right now.

Miriam: Come on, Honey, Mom has to know.

Maya: *sigh* fine. So, the first half of my day was okay enough, but 8th period was horrible.

Mei: Why? What could possibly have ruined your day?

Miriam: Maya, tell her.

Maya: Well, when we got to class, we had a substitute teacher filling for our normal one as she was looking after her daughter. The worst part came when he did attendance. When he called for me, he got my name wrong.

Mei: What happened after that?

Maya: I tried to say my name but he yelled at me. I got so angry trying to reason with him I panda'd out and he freaked out, then he called me and tried to fight me like I was a monster! Then, sniff, he threw me out of class after that. Sniff. Ma and I had to tell the principal what happened.

Mei: My god Maya, I'm sorry to hear that! This guy not knowing about your panda and thinking you're a monster is one thing, but throwing you out just because you tried to say your name?!

Miriam: Yeah, it was terrible! I was on my way to the teachers lounge when I saw her crying in the hallway. She told me everything and we headed to the principal's office to tell him what happened. He was furious and he called for him when class was over, after a heated argument, that teacher was immediately fired for his actions. I gotta say, he freaking deserved it. No one has the right to attack a student just because she was trying to say her name.

Mei: Yeah! No one attacks MY daughter like some kind of animal!

Maya: I’m *sniff* gonna have a rough time forgetting about it.

Miriam: Aw, Maya, there’s nothing to be worried about, that guy won’t be bugging you again any time soon.

Maya: if you say so, Mom, I’m really sorry for ignoring you earlier.

Mei: It’s okay, Maya. I understand you were just upset. You did the right thing to tell someone what happened.

Miriam: We’re proud of you for that, Honey. Next time stuff like that happens again, we’ll always be there.

Maya: Thanks, Ma, I love you both so much.

Mei+Mir: We love you too, Maya.

Maya started to feel better after that, even after going shopping with her moms. She hoped that another teacher wouldn’t be as bad as this one, but dared to not think about it for a long time.

I recently had a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned, so I apologize for my absence. Also, I'm still very upset with that the teacher got mad at me, I hope that he doesn’t do anything like that with me again.

And yes, Miriam’s “Trasher” shirt is a parody of “Thrasher”.
