One Summer Day, Maya and her moms were having a nice walk in the park. Things were looking great until they saw Megan sitting on a bench all by herself, Maya decided to go and talk to her.

Maya: Hi, Aunt Megan.

Megan looks at her with a sad expression on her face.

Megan: Hi, Maya sweetie.

Maya: what's the matter? You look very sad.

Megan: (sighs sadly) I was thinking about someone that I lost in my life.

Maya: who could it be? I'll listen.

Megan: it was my pet cat, Mystique.

Maya: You had a cat?

Megan: yes, today is the day which could've been her birthday, I'm still sad that she's no longer with me.🥺

Maya then let's a tear drip down from her eye, it was too much for her to take in. Mei and Miriam walk over to see what was wrong, they knew something was bugging them.

Mei: Honey, what's the matter?

Maya: (sniff) Mom, Megan was telling me of her cat, I can't believe I never knew of this.🥺

Miriam: Aw, Honey don't cry. It's okay, we know what it was like.

Megan: I was only a baby when I met Mystique, as I grew up, the person she would always go to was me. Things were happy for us, until I turned 14, she basically turned 72 in cat years. She was not in a good state, there was nothing we could do about it. I remember that before she passed, she put her paw in my hand and meowed her final goodbyes, as if she was saying that she wanted us to carry on and be happy. Your parents and aunt attended her funeral, and were able to help make me better during the situation. But now, I wish she was still here to see me all grown up, but she'll never get the chance.🥺

Maya: Oh man, that was the saddest thing I've ever heard.

Mei: Megan, it's okay. I know that deep down, Mystique is watching you from above and is proud of you for everything. We love you, Megan, I know she did as well.

Miriam: Maya, thanks for bringing us over to help make her feel better. You're such a good kid.😊

Maya: thank you, Ma.🥹

Megan: Come here, sweetie.

Maya walks over and gives Megan a big hug, her moms joining in as well.

Maya: we love you, Aunt Megan, if you need help, we'll always be here for you.😉

Megan: thank you, Maya, I feel so much better now.🥹

After such a heartwarming moment, Megan decides to join Maya and her mother's on their walk, the day may have been a little rough, but they managed to help someone that they loved and made them feel so much better.

I definitely felt a great deal of grief when I lost my cat, but as people say, "Be Strong".
