Thanks for the feedback and the I tried three different colors of framing and I wasn't really excited about any of them but this seemed the best. What color would you do it in?

my favourite is black but I think that less is more. I hold with minimalism, the frame is better to be very simple...that`s my opinion

I love Clematis. I've always wanted one, but haven't gotten one yet. This picture will have to do I guess. The colors here are just beautiful.

I can't believe how fast the vines grew this year. I have the kind you cut all the way back after the vines die off. I swear, it was growing as I watched. Then all of a sudden all the buds appeared.

I didn't cut mine back and there are new leaves all the way from top to bottom with a gap in the middle. I haven't looked closely but I believe there are bloom buds there already. I watched an ash leaf grow 1/16th of an inch in 4 hours a few years ago, quite amazing.

There are some clematis plants that should not be cut back. I remember checking into it a couple of years ago. Everything seems to be growing extra fast this year.

I didn't know if I should cut it back or not.....so I didn't. I will have to check into that, thanks for the info.
