perfect complementary contrast as well as an image that is a flag for current and future ecological protection landmarks

Thanks, Vassilis! It was a cloudy day at Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies. The blue green water is the result of glaciers in the Canadian mountains. And I very much like your metaphor of the :flag: flying its colors for protection of such a wonderful environment.

I really like the contrast between the cool natural tones and the vivid statement of the canoes. And the glass-like surface of the water and reflected shadows really add to the piece

Let's hear it for Lake Louise, and those fabulous Canadian Rockies. Of course, it's hard to beat southern Oregon! (Said like the true Oregonian I really am...)

Well luckily there's enough of nature's splendor to go around That being said, it is hard to go wrong with an Oregon view

Are you sure you don't work for tourism Canada

If Canada's tourist bureau offered work, I think I'd bag being a professor and head north to take the offer. It's a great country and more than commonly civilized in my view. It's neighbor just to the south has much to learn from Canada!

Another wonderful Canadian shot. You have captured the quiet beauty of the mountains, serene feel of the lake, and the fun of the canoes all at once. Well done!!
