Just an Andalite I drew. He has a bad background so I through him up in scraps. Well he looks like a normal Andalite except he has white spots and that cute mane.Related content

Thanks! I thought they looked stupid with the mane in the show but they look great if you do it right. Course the ones in the show were cheap and the manes looked like crappy tangled fuzz.

Thanks! And I'm sure you hear this a lot but its very true; Practice and study! Pictures on google really help for anatomy, fur, feathers, etc...anyways, I looked at your drawings and your humans are very good! I like your andelite too.

Hey that's a new interpretation!
What I really like is how you actually drew him with a thinner deer-like body, like they're actually described as. Everyone always draws them so muscular and more horselike even though the word "deer" is always used in the books. Even the cheezy covers were always kinda chunky and awkward looking (well, besides the Andalite Chronicles and Visser, that is. Those were good.) and yours looks like it could be pretty graceful.

Thanks, I noticed that too and I liked the idea that they were more deer like. Makes them seem so much more graceful yet still deadly. I had to make the body muscular though, I couldn't imagine them holding up their upper body withought them. I over did the supposed to be skinny arms though, oh well!
The Visser cover was wild. He had a huge muscular body that would have made me cry in fear if I had seen him in real life, it was nothing like what she had described in her books. But it was really cool too. I dunno I have mixed feelings on the whole, is an andalite better skinny or not. I personally prefer a more muscular hero then a little skinny deer but I draws em' how they describe em'.

The toned muscles make complete sense, they are still warriors, but when I see them drawn like they've got Clydesdale bodies or something, that's when I'm like "Ack noooo!" LOL.

Andalites! You never read Animorphs? Its about a bunch of kids that could turn into animals and they fought against aliens. Andalites were like the ditzy Vulcans and the humans were like the stupid humans. Good stuff.
