Nice work, but I think it needs a half-stop or so more exposure. There's no detail in her dress and you can't see her face very well. More exposure would have made her top brighter too, and thus would give the picture a greater tonal range.
It would be nice to see some of the scratches removed - in particular, there's one by her left leg in the reflection. You can clone that out in the gimp easily.
I like the strong lines formed by the mirror and the wall, and I like the "pose" (it's not really a pose, but you know what I mean). It might have been interesting to try this from a slightly lower perspective too.

thanks for all the suggestions. i'm afraid my dust problem is a hard problem to remedy. i work in a high school darkroom and they don't keep their enlargers very clean. not just that but i'm ocd about trying to keep my negatives clean. it's very frustrating.

It's not too tricky to retouch the dust out when you've got it on the computer, though. [link] and [link] might help you with this.
