Description "okay, red. i'll let you try one more time... but then we do this my way."
*deal.

I said after Dustfell that I would do Afterfell next! That didn't happen, but I've finished it now~!

I'm actually super proud of the background and his SNAPPING HAND PHEW IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE IT'S SNAPPING

I also played around with fading his usual colors because Geno's clothes are either white or very faded, with the scarf and wound the only things fully saturated. I also tried to use the color brush but that didn't work out, so I stuck with the usual coloring method. Ah well. It was good to experiment. And I'm proud of the outcome anyway!

Okay, first off, some kind of shading would be good, even very simplistic shading would help this piece out a lot.

I'm just going to assume that that giant red smear is meant to be blood, it doesn't looking like blood. Since the jacket and undershirt are on 2 different layers, making it so the blood looks like it is soaked into the shirt instead of hovering over it would be good.

The blood should be dripping more instead of just some small blobs hanging slightly lower.

The area of the cut should be a darker red than everything around it.

This is awesome houn.
The proportion is good, but still needs a bit of work e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
And try add in a bit more detail, like the shading to show the light direction and give the cloths more depth. The scarf definatly looks like its blowing to the side but it still looks a bit off.

A tip for learning proper proportion, try looking at the anotamy of a skeleton and a guys body structure. That way everything is in line with everything else e.g the arms don't turn out too long and the legs are too short or the head stop small.

Also, try look up shading tecniques.

That's just an example and tips, what you have here is actually good. But just needs some work.

Bit strange that my honest critique about his piece where I pointed out all the flaws is deleted, yet the one praising you stays.
I wonder what the reason is for that?

(No need to get salty :/ The posted critique has pointed out flaws. Yours didn't take into account particulars of the AU so I didn't agree with it.)

"Didn't take into account particulars of the AU."
My critique mentioned lack of shading and the fact that the blood stain doesn't look at all like a blood stain.
Not sure how that is disregarding the particulars of this AU.

(From what I recall, there were a few other things, but the thing is the blood stain wasn't particularly saturated (or shaped) on purpose. Everything is desaturated but the scarf. Whatever tho, it's an old picture. If you wanna remake the critique or whatever, I'll post it, it's not a big deal)

(Thank you very much, I really really appreciate the critique! I am still learning how to shade, so I kinda figured I don't do it enough, unfortunately. xD And the same thing with proportions, I am trying super hard to do better at that. I definitely will start checking out more anatomy pictures to help with that, thank you!)
