www.facebook.com/gevurahstudio⦠Hey guys, this is a recent commission I had ordered here. It's an FPS view of a battle between Lucian and Thresh, with the champions of the shadow isles watching on in the distance. This was a really fun piece to create and It's gone to a good home

I feel like the thresh picture you drew, it's quite too much the same as the normal splash art, and seems like Lucian got thresh by surprise.
The guns as i see, are quite good, but it'd be better if we could see lucian.
The other champions on the background, i feel like they are there to fit a bit more, they are good, I agree with that, but i feel that if you had shown more of Lucian they wouldn't be necessary.
Overall everythign else, your skill on this is admnirable, i must say, but you need to develop this much more, more stuff, that we can see both, Lucian the purifier and Thresh the chain warden.

It's kinda hard to find a flaw in this (as I honestly do regret critiquing art of a skill level like this) I managed to find a few noteworthy ones.
My advice is to stick to one set, or palette of colors. The red troll (or monster) near the giants shoulder has the potential to lure the attention away from the subject as for its coloring and red marks against a primarily cyan backdrop and palette. However, much of this is done well. It's surprising to see a FPS view, that a rare treat and for one done so well....you get my point. The lighting effects on the twin guns are very well done and the primary monster is positively flawless.
Overall, you are an amazing artist, just make sure to not put distracting pieces of scenery here and there, it may draw away attention from the primary subject.

The problem is you have to use the red because it's in the palette of those shadow isle champions, taking it out wouldn't be staying true to the champion's design.

The problem is that Maokai is NOT from shadow isle.
And Noct also :3Β
I think that there are too much champions. So they grab your attention and you start looking on them. =\Β

Maokai isn't red though, he's pink in the art :U

There ARE a lot of champions admittedly, but it makes sense, kind of Lucian vs. the World (of Shadow Isles)

Not sure if somebody has said this already or if you've thought about yourself, but I think it'd be a cool idea to redraw the same situation from Thresh's POV. Just an idea!

I love how the other champs from the twisted treeline are chilling knowing Thresh can well fend off Lucian.

Ironically enough, Thresh+Lucian is actually a pretty fearsome duo, if you've been keeping up with LCS. Their lane pressure is just painful.

Finally, somebody realizes Nocturne and Maokai are also champions from the Shadow Isles

well up until recently they weren't. Maokai was a tree from the old twisted treeline brought to life by the fighting of the league and Nocturne was a nightmare manifested at the nexus on summoners rift. Nocturne just got a new "map of origin" and they completely rewrote Maokai's lore to make him some forest spirit from before the shadow isles got all undeadified

This resembles weirdly like a dream I had. It took me a while to realize this but I think I was in a village, in the aftermath of an attack by Hecarim. He was with Morde that time and well I was busy poking dead bodies with my pike. Until...I heard the sound of Lucian's guns...I woke up after that. That was eerie.

Humana humana humana. I knew Lucian was a bad-ass but all those badies might be a little bit too much for him to take. The only bad thing I can find "wrong" with this is that it looks so much like the original art to the untrained eye it could be photo shopped (which of course its not.) But other than that its awesome. The characters in the background make for a quick distraction then its back to the action center stage.
