The scientist let out a high-pitched shriek of terror as Kenneth's coils began to envelop him. Frantically, he tried to free himself, but he was not strong enough. "Oh bloody hell, please don't eat me!" he cried out. Being digested in the stomach of the creature he was trying to research was definitely very low on his list of things he wanted to have happened to him today.

Kenneth chuckled pleasantly. "Eat you? Nah," he said with a shake of his head. "But you do look pretty tired, doc. Look at those bags under your eyes. I daresay a nap might do you some good." A mischievous grin spread slowly across his face, and all at once his eyes began to change.

Ah, yes--the snake creature's inherent ability. That is what the doctor had been researching. Even so, all his research couldn't prepare him for the real thing; as soon as the colors--bright and beautiful in the jungle shade--began to swirl slowly through the creature's eyes, he was hooked. He began to feel the effects slowly but surely; the endlessly rippling colors transfixed him, and his brain began to produce a powerful cocktail of neurotransmitters--melatonin and seratonin first. Yes, he felt incredibly drowsy, but it was a pleasant drowsiness, completely unlike the lousy way he would feel when he suffered his bouts of insomnia. The snake creature's tail was still wrapping itself around him, but he found he didn't mind so much; it was warm and surprisingly soft. The tail wrapped itself comfortably around his neck and he groaned a little, eyelids drooping, as he sank into the creature's eyes and his coils.

"Sleep, doc," Kenneth whispered sweetly. "Ssssleeeeeeeeep...."

"Ahhhhh," the scientist sighed, and just as his papers predicted, he was overwhelmed as his brain then began to produce endorphins--lots and lots of them. The creature's tail gently pulled itself snugly around him, the tip brushing his hair from his forehead. A smile irresistibly curled at the corners of his mouth. He'd never felt so good, so relaxed.
