Description While they still explored the stars from time to time, mankind kept mostly to themselves back on Earth. Proud and contempt with the simple life they have there. Eventually another civilization with different ambitions would arrive to their star system, with intentions much more sinister. They were here for conquest. Humanity fought hard to repeal the ferocious Cite's-mods for several decades, but alas the invaders' technological and military prowess was ultimately superior. The most surprising part is once they claimed the Earth is their own, the new alien overlords did not go forth with complete extermination of the native sophonts. Nor did they keep they choose enslavement of the usual variety, but instead to keep the handful of survivors as their pets. Likely to flaunt them around as a trophy and symbol of their conquest. Like with any domesticated species, the owners eventually shaped their genes into outlandish forms, impossible to develop in the wild to meet their own need. A few millennia after the invasion, all that remained of humanity were dozens of freakishly distorted pet breeds. Less than a million that actually resembled their original Homo sapiens form remained.
Also interestingly they kept most of human culture and artifacts around for themselves. Preserving relics of architecture, art and media long after they wiped out the civilization that created it. One such artifact was a large selection of asiatic animated media that many of the Cite's-mods took quite the affinity for. Many became intrigued by the odd yet distinctive character designs in the shows. Finding them to be rather cute and endearing like the artist long gone artists who produced it, they set out to mold some of their new pets in that image. One such breed is the Shortstack. Her distorted physique was surprisingly accomplished with very little genetic engineering done almost entirely with selective breeding. Since a Cite's-mod can live to be 300 years old, they could afford to be much more patient with the slow growth rate of the original human beings. Her kind only reaches about 2 and a half feet tall when fully grown. Bred for the primary purpose of looking cute with her disproportionate bobble head barely containing its enlarged eyes. The disproportionate breast and buttocks make her resemble a blown up caricature of the animated characters mentioned before. Many Cite's-mods find a ton of entertainment out of watching their small companions simply try to run around while their disproportionate assets flop in the way while they laugh really hard at them. While nowhere near as smart as their Anthropocene ancestors, the Shortstacks can be taught a wide selection of basic tricks. One of the common being how to take off your pants to go to the bathroom, but a lot of Cite's-mods will simply dress theirs' in skirts to avoid the inconvenience.
The Shortstacks can live up to be around 40, or 50 if their owner does the most proper job taking care of them. Like the Loli and Chibi breeds, the Shortstacks can develop respiratory problems due to having breath out of such a small, scrunched up face. They in fact have it even worse than their counterparts thanks to the bone joint issues they can acquire later in life thanks to overgrown mammies and rear end. Back and hip problems are no stranger to an older Shortstack. Neck problems are also not unheard of. Male Shortstacks have it off a lot easier, as they the disproportionate assets. While not wholly free from anatomical burdens, they have enough to usually live longer and healthier than the ladies. They are also able to walk around on all fours whenever their large head feels too cumbersome to balance on just two legs alone. The oversized bust and behind makes many simple tasks or activities rather burdensome form the females.
Most Shortstack owners take up the hobby of prancing their miniature Hominids around and elaborate fashion shows. They'll adorn the families in big goofy bustle dresses accompanied by large hats or sparkly tiaras. As if they're a fairy tale princess or a Victorian era-ballroom dancer. The boys also get their fare share of outlandish suits, scarfs and accessories to wow their alien overlords.
Despite to their wide pelvis, delivery can still be huge challenge due to the newborns massive head. They often require the help of a medically-trained Cite's-mod to assist the delivery. The perental instinct of the Shortstacks themselves are very rudimentary. Many will look after their young for a decent amount of time. But some individuals are born with no parental instincts whatsoever and will simply walk away for their baby after birth if complete.

Pictured here is a young male Cite's-mod posing behind his prized pet, Uzulu. Dressed in a few more casual outfit than what she posts during her shows and contests. Even if she had the capacity or awareness of her situation, there's not much her kind could do in terms of rebellion. Being trapped in a small, disproportionate body, making movement and tool use rather tedious, she would have no way to outmatch the might of the mighty Cite's-mods. Even so why should she have any reason to revolt. Her owner is very affectionate and takes great care of her. He has done no wrong and she is blissfully aware of the atrocities of his forefathers. Her owner himself has a hard time wrapping his head around the weight of an event that occurred before a favorite movie from his childhood. Nonetheless one that occurred thousands of years before either of the two were even born...
