Description
My latest entry into the custom toy/model category; the Eradicator is a 27 inch long acrocanthosaurus/war machine constructed from toys, model kits, and recycled plastic containters (76 sources of parts). The model is fully posable, has an LED illuminated power plant, fully removable magnetized golden armor, and is threaded with some 12 feet of cabling. It was made for the Zoids Poison 2012 Customization Contest.Related content

Absolutely awesome!! Being able to create something like this just from plastic scrap parts is pretty impressive!

Thank you very much; designing a convincing theropod was always a goal of mine. This one was built for a contest and I am very pleased with it... however, I think I would have redesigned the gun to not take a notch out of the anatomy so much. Perhaps I'll revise it someday. Β ^_^Β

I won an HMM Dibison... not shabby at all, eh? Β I've also started building custom Zoids on commission. Β I've got a pair of them in my shop now, and finished another that I built right after Eradicator. I'm debating if I should just show a gallery of it, or wait until I can enter it into a competition, since its an unpublished build. Β

HMM are very expensive, I think it was worth it.
I say show some gallery, and save your best for future competitionΒ

Many competitions have a rule that the custom must not have been posted any place before the contest starts, so I've been hording the pics. Β

This thing is strange but totally awsome! And a really nice Paintjob, the colors fit the model perfectly! Could you tell me the dimensions of the model because I dont can figure out how big it is?

Thanks for the kind words, LordofXenos!Β The build is approximately 30" long (76cm).Β Frequently, choosing the paint for one of my builds is the toughest part.Β I usually go with more military colors, but I wanted this one to hail from an empire with a more regal theme.Β I actually selected the colors while thinking about armor colors worn by samurai.

Something like that!Β For the model contest I wanted to build something I had never attempted before; to my surprise, I had never built a therapod.Β As mean as ol' Rex is, I have a soft spot for the Acrocanthosaurus and his beefy, heavy looking silhouette.Β That, plus artillery, made it the perfect choice.Β
