Animal Crossing is just bliss to me. Its always been the one game I'd turn to when I need self help. Its nice being able to completely disconnect from the world and jump into a new one that doesn't make you feel like you're stuck to strict rules, social tension or stressful financial strain.
I got New Leaf finally a few months ago and I feel like I've been able to relax more lately than I would have before without it, since hooking up the gamecube each night isnt as easy as just picking up a handheld. So its just really nice and I'm being sappy, but I'm thankful to have a game this level of chill that I can look forward to at the end of a hard day.
So yeah. Just a doodle of a couple of random villagers. I'm still real happy with this piece.

This is awesome!! I feel very similarly about Animal Crossing. It's such a good de-stresser ;w;
Also, Mitzi is my all time FAVORITE villager (because I had her in the GC version, haha) and I think you drew her super cute!!

I know what you mean. I loved Animal Crossing since the Gamecube days. It has been easier for me to keep up with Wild World and later New Leaf because I travel for my job so handhelds are the best option. I keep the clock 12 hours behind so when I play just before going to bed it's still morning and everyone is up. It is a great way to wind down at the end of the day. I love the game so much I got my friend a 3DS so he could play it. It counted for three gifts across a year (two birthdays and a Christmas) but he is still glad I got it for him. He is an old school RPG fan so I pitched AC to him as "An RPG without random battles."

Oh man, it made me so happy reading this. The feeeeels. I relate, I've grown up with AC too, and I'm so glad I've been able to, its such a strong love and such an amazing get away from a rough work day. I work full time as an artist, so time is pretty difficult for me when it comes to games, so handhelds are bliss since they are easy to pick up and AC is so easy to jump into.
And that's so sweet!! You got your friend a 3DS so you guys could play!! That's such a big purchase, I'm so glad they are enjoying it!! Its such an important game to me, I get overjoyed when someone asks me to play together. My girlfriend is planning on getting the game next month and I've just been a dumb mess over it because I'm so thrilled to share this game with them.
