I can at times, have a very hard time expressing what a piece of art makes me feel so I end up saying something quite plain about the piece when actually I am quite moved by it. Your work carries a lot of expression and emotion within them. I like that you have many types of artistic expression. Very interesting.

It's interesting you mention this piece could make a nice print for fabric. I have had several people now tell me this about a few works of mine. I have never considered this possibility before and now that I've had several people mention this to me, I think I must investigate this option. Thanks for mentioning it.

also recently investigating the option, many companies out there, it is a viable living, and untill the day we go back to nudity, we will all be wearing Fabric I believe.

and Magnolia

I have only ever heard of Plumaria. I just looked it up. It's a lovely looking flowering tree. I'll have to put that one on my, "Need to sniff" list! Yes, Magnolia's are intoxicating! Oh, and lily of the valleys are lovely for scent too, I think.

Generally a good greenhouse will have one in their collection they are as I recall indigenous of Hawaii.
There is a perfumery called β€œSpiritual sky" that has the pink variety in oil form, it is more heady and has that rosish scent to it. the Yellow has a more lemony smell.

Yes!!! I am so happy that you noticed that tiny detail! It is so hard sometimes to get photos to show the detail. Thanks for taking the time to look a bit deeper in the painting.

This greatly reminds me of a Paisley pattern. Very meticulous brush-work.

One of my favorites from your gallery. I see alot of Lee Krasner inspiration in your work.

Thank you! "Distillation" by far is the most favored piece in my gallery by the public. I wish I could take a clearer photo of that piece so people could see the deeper detail work in it. Thank you for seeing a Lee Krasner influence in my work! She is an artist that I do draw inspiration from.

There's something about placing circles of random sizes near eachother that I am so drawn to (hard to explain!)... and the colors... . I love this!

Ghaziya65 In reply to iamgreenvasion [2012-06-09 01:44:15 +0000 UTC]

Thanks so much! I so agree with you about the circles thing! Even when I don't start off thinking about putting any circles into a new painting, so many times, they just end up in the paintings. They are my favorite shape!

Thank you! I'm happy you like it! I wish I could get a better pic of this one. There are hundreds of tiny grey dots applied all around the circle areas, but they just don't show up in the photo. It's those grey dots that really make the color of all the circles pop.

Like in a temple or something. How can you have the patience for such intricacy? I could say talent but we'll stick with patience I do envy you that. A chinese bird dragon snake. And beautiful.

I am so glad you like it! I always like your commentaries on my work. Yes, you are quite right--it did take a whole lot of patience to draw and then paint this one. I love your, "chinese bird dragon snake" interpretation of this piece--I really do. Weirdly enough, I can "see" or maybe it's feel your description. Or maybe, we are both just the right amount of crazy...Thanks for kind words.

oh, what a wonderful piece! The colours you picked are amazing and the composition is awesome! One can see a lot of time and effort has gone into this. Making those many circles in the end would;ve made your eyes go kinda But you incorporated circles yay! It's a beauty Kelly. Well done!
